Elisabeth ALDERS
Mezzo-soprano
Elisabeth Alders started her musical education at the age of 8 with piano lessons. Later she continued her studies at LUCA School of Arts Lemmensinstituut, where she obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in Music Education. Because of her interests in vocal ensembles and choir music she combined her studies with a bachelor's degree in choir conducting in the class of Kurt Bikkembergs. While studying, Elisabeth got the opportunity to sing in semi-professional choirs and projects (e.g. CD recordings for Capella Di Voce, Bach projects Lemmensinstituut, Dutch National Student Choir, Summer Opera Alden Biezen...). At this moment she is still committed as an ensemble singer in Octopus Chamber Choir (Bart Van Reyn).
After her studies in Leuven, Elisabeth was admitted into the master program of Academy of Music and Performing Arts Tilburg. She is coached by prof. Fenna Kügel-Seifreid (conservatory Munich, Germany) and Bart De Kegel. Elisabeth took various masterclasses for example with: Margreet Honig, Maarten Koningsberger, Peter Brechbühler, David Prins, Marc Krone Elsina Jansen and prof. Reinhard Seifried.
Elisabeth has a lyrical and dark colored timbre which is suitable for opera repertoire. Within this repertoire she played the roles of: Zia Principessa (Suor Angelica, Puccini), Mrs Nollan (The Medium, Menotti), Cornelia (Giulio Cesare). Furthermore, she can apply her broad music theory knowledge and professional experience as a choir conductor to her professional singing ambitions, giving her a unique artistic perspective on both solo singing and ensemble singing. Envisioning a career as a professional singer, she currently seeks to further improve her abilities in professional choirs and to obtain her master's degree in singing in 2022.
