After her studies in Taipei National University of Arts, Taiwanese soprano Wei-Lian moved to Belgium to study in Conservatory of Brussels with Marianne Pousseur and Dinah Bryant.
Wei-Lian is regularly participating in productions with Les menus plaisirs du Roy, Collegium Ad Mosam, New Baroque Time Choir, and Chamber Choir of Namur in Belgium and France and recently as extra choir singer in the opéra choir of Opera ballet Vlaanderen. Thanks to these ensembles she had opportunity to work with some reknown conductors as Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Edo de Waart , Guy van Waas, Christophe Rousset, Martyn Brabbins, Hartmut Haenchen.
With Chamber choir of Namur, she was in part of the project “Les indes galantes” of Philippe Rameau and “ vespro” from Monteverdi, recently in “Thamos “ by Mozart and as choir soliste.
She often collaborates with Scherzi Musicali, with whom she performed in the Festival of Sacred Music of Münster, Festival Laus Polyphoniae Antwerpen, and Early Music Festival of Lanvellec. With them, she performed the role of Cupid in John Blow’s Venus & Adonis, the title role of Euridice by Caccini, and recorded a CD devoted to Motets by Giovanni Paolo Colonna in 2018 and another CD recently been release in November of 2021, music from Jean-Noël Hamal.
